Professional Profile

Fiza Gilani is the Founder of Legal Research Paradigm Society. She started volunteering her efforts for the protection of human rights from a very young age. Currently, she is the practicing lawyer. She is also the Director student affairs at Concordia College and before establishing LRPS, she has been working as a General secretary of an NGO, carrying out various managerial roles and organized workshops and seminars on several critical issues for better awareness, with the collaboration of various organizations and undertook certain initiatives for betterment of the society. Right after completing her law from University of London, she started practicing at one of the prestigious law firms where she not only carried out civil, family and IP law practice but also rendered her services for the rights of minorities and championed them in the National Human Rights Commission Pakistan. Moreover, she advocated for the decriminalization of suicide and the rights of differently-abled children through her research and articles. Along with that, she engaged in the tasks of developing an Intellectual Property regime for one of the Asia’s top real estate companies and crafting the one-year activity plan for CPEC. One of her significant research works include “Lawfare and its impact on National Security”. In order to develop the expertise and better understanding of particular areas, she took certifications in Intellectual Property Law and Sustainable Development Goals from University of Pennsylvania and University of Cambridge respectively and also built her capacity by attending workshop at the Army Law Directorate and working as a Law Officer there. Not only this, she worked with numerous top-notch national and international firms for developing her legal practice proficiency in corporate, civil, commercial, employment and IP Laws. At LRPS, Fiza oversees the projects related to the intellectual Property law, Sustainable Development Goals, Human Rights and the use of technology to support access to justice. She critically analyzes the issues and aspires to dig deeper into the complex legal concepts and offer solutions through her in-depth research and policy analysis.

She envisions that her tireless efforts will contribute to the advancement of the legal system, enhancing its role in various areas, including the improvement of the quality of education and healthcare services. She believes that the upcoming generation is the biggest asset of the state and polishing their capabilities will add value to the development of the nation as a whole. Her efforts continue to be a driving force behind LRPS mission to bring the meaningful and lasting change through collaborative research, advocacy and the power of contributive efforts.
